how to get there ?
RESOURCES > Content > Files
what for ?
The asset manager is the place where you upload any files you want accessible via the website, and for email through the back-end with your Contact List.
Images for the website graphics are added through the Asset Manager. Then, from the Asset Index, you are able to select and copy the url for an image asset and paste it into the IMG href tag of the HTML code for a web page you are creating. In the same way, other Assets can be uploaded in the form of images, video, PDF files, Flash, and more. How you use it is only limited by your imagination.
how to ?
Head on over to the Asset Manager. At the top menu, choose RESOURCES > Content > Files and a pane will open at the Asset Index. If you already had another pane open, you will notice that it remained open and you can change pane views by selecting the appropriate tab.
Now that you've got the Asset Index opened, you'll see how easy it is to use. Right away you see, Add a file, and you know what to do. At the next step, the screen wants the file path for the Asset on your PC. Click Browse and find that file. The Title, Description, and Tag field are useful fields for you to label for later use and reference. The Tag field is particularly useful when you want to group Assets, Contacts, or anything in this back-end database.
Once you've uploaded the file, you are now able to use the Asset and can hover your cursor, right-click for the web-browser drop-down menu, and copy the url link for that Asset. With the Asset url link copied, it can be pasted into the appropriate email template, web layout, web page, or snippet in the Content Management System.
